
Visiting the Museum
We are open Thursday-Sunday, 10:30am-5pm. Last admission is always at 4:15pm.
Average length of a visit is usually ~45 minutes, although visitors are welcome to stay for longer!
When you visit, you will see that at our entrance we use a traffic-light system to manage visitor flow up and down the stairs. If you arrive and the light is red, please wait until it changes to green.
Tickets can be purchased via walk-in on the day, or you can book them in advance here:
General Admission Ticket Prices:

Only handbags and small backpacks are permitted in the museum, this is due to the limited space. No suitcases or large baggage is allowed.
Pushchairs are not permitted in the museum due to space restrictions, contact us as you arrive & we can store them in the foyer.
There are NO toilets on site.
Animals are not welcome in the museum, except for guide dogs.
Non-commercial photography for personal use is permitted in the museum.
Please note that human remains are on display in the museum. Please be respectful and mindful during your visit.

As a UK taxpayer, your Gift Aid admission ticket includes a voluntary 10% donation. This allows us, as a registered charity, to claim an additional 25p for every £1 from the government at no extra cost to you.
